The Penn Squall Level Wind reel is the successor to the GT series reels which have been around for decades and proven themselves on big fish. The Squall LW has all of the proven features of the GT series, with the addition of improved gear ratios and an Instant Anti-Reverse bearing, in a more compact package. Left-hand sizes available in the 20 and 30sizes. The reel is built to last with a lightweight graphite frame and side plate, forged and machined aluminum spool with line capacity rings along with a bronze main gear and stainless steel pinion gear. The reel is equipped with HT-100 drag system and has 2 stainless steel bearings. Instant anti-reverse round out this tough conventional reel. A reel is available in three models depending on your line weight requirements. The first model is for 280 yds. (256 meters), 17 lbs. (7.7 kg) test line, with a maximum drag of 15 lbs. (6.8 kg), a gear ratio of 4.9:1, retrieve rate of 28″ (71 cm) and weighs 16.2 oz. (459.3 g). The second model is for 315 yds. (288 meters) 20 lbs. (4.5 kg) test line, with a maximum drag of 15 lbs.
